There is a plethora of parks and outdoor spaces to explore, hike, and enjoy nature, including the Jesusita hiking trail, Willow Glen Park, and MacKenzie Dog Park. Many young families bring their children to the playground at Willow Glen Park in the evenings and on the weekends. 
 
Many people in the area enjoy playing a game of golf on the weekends. The Santa Barbara Golf Club is a public golf course that gets high marks from the locals.
