Michael Calcagno

Born and raised in Southern California, Michael Calcagno fell in love with Santa Barbara during the summers he spent here as a child, and went on to attend both Brooks Institute and the University of California, Santa Barbara.  Michael began his career in real estate in 2005, and within one year he was recognized in the top 1% of real estate producers in Santa Barbara. Within three years, he was in the top 1% of his brokerage’s agents worldwide, and has continued his high-ranking trend ever since. Together with business partner Nancy Hamilton and their team, Michael closed over $100 million in sales in 2014. His professional affiliations include the National, California and Santa Barbara Associations of Realtors.

Michael believes Santa Barbara represents a vibrant, world-class lifestyle rather than just a place to live, and credits his success to both his love of real estate as well as his strong negotiating, marketing, and contractual skills, gained from previous experience in the field of entertainment management. His attention to detail, relationship-building skills, and ability to connect with people have made him well-liked in the real estate community; many of his clients turn into his friends. He is passionate about finding the right property for a client or helping them negotiate the sale of their existing home, utilizing his in-depth knowledge of the local real estate market and neighborhoods, as well as his strong communication skills.

Michael and his wife Cammie, a nurse at Cottage Hospital, keep busy raising their two young sons, Henry and James. Since becoming a father, Michael has developed an entirely new appreciation of Santa Barbara and its many family-oriented activities; their favorites include the Natural History Museum and the Sea Center on Stern’s Wharf.

When he’s not tending to the needs of his clients and colleagues, Michael enjoys just about every ocean-based water sport, as well as fly fishing on his family’s Montana Ranch. He is also working towards his pilot’s license, sharing a passion for flying with his oldest son. 

Nancy Hamilton

Nancy Hamilton has successfully navigated the intricate residential and income property real estate markets for over 25 years, and together with Michael Calcagno and their team closed over $100 million in sales in 2014. Growing up on the Mississippi Delta, Nancy attended college in Virginia before attending law school and working for Morgan Stanley in their legal compliance office. Today she uses her legal and business background to guide her clients smoothly through complex negotiations, and is dedicated to helping her clients accomplish their real estate goals. She has built a reputation for superior client service, integrity, and the highest level of client representation.

Nancy’s real estate career began in 1992 when she purchased her first property in Santa Barbara, which she transformed to match her vision and then sold it to someone who loved it just as much as she did. She has personally bought, remodeled and sold over two dozen homes in the Santa Barbara area, providing her unique insights into accessing the market value of a home. Her genuine enthusiasm and dedication to quality work helps her win clients and build long-lasting relationships. As a result, many of her clients come by referral from family, friends, and satisfied past clients.

While the South is in her soul, Santa Barbara has captured her heart, in part because she raised her own family here. After moving to the area, she met her husband Michael, a Santa Barbara native, while playing volleyball on East Beach. After they married, they started a family that includes their three daughters, Austin, Jordan, and Madison. While raising her daughters, Nancy was active in the PTA and coached her daughters’ basketball and soccer teams while remaining in the top 1% of Santa Barbara real estate agents every year. She attributes her success to her family’s support as well as her vision, discipline, and enthusiasm.

In addition to helping sellers list their homes, Nancy enjoys welcoming buyers into the Santa Barbara community, and helps her clients become familiar with the area so they can immediately feel at home.
